In that moment

In that moment I feel the presence of hope

Don’t take that away, I did climb up that rope.

There was despair

And Anguish…

Most things we all feel at some in time 

I am holding onto Faith as these words are the angle to find.

We look for peace

We are who we are

Way back when

Years ago we smiled when someone in person told us a joke

We don’t need facebook to remind us, especially with that opportunity to poke. 

We loved TV, the 3 or 4 channels on TV

And yes, things have progressed.. but there’s too much opportunity to focus for you and me. 

There was Rocky 1, 2, 3, 4, 5… yes you know you know where this is going!

There was pop music with beautiful sounds that didn’t drone, 

There was octane levels that hit beautiful heights, 

George Michael, Wham, A-ha, Donna Summer and ABBA which brought music to a stunning level, and for what should be seen as bright. 

There were films like Superman The Movie, Raiders of the Lost Arc and Encounters of the third kind,

These were moments we cherished as digital balance was containable and not at all blind. 

At the end of the day, we say that common phase “it is what it is”

as long as we pray and discern then that part of our lives we should avoid to miss. 

Despite the ‘kid and play’ and characters that brought styles of genre to the core

The light of entertainment at that time were wonderful, as we reminisce that bit more.

God, I am trying every day

Others perception of me now no longer stays,

I know you are doing your best,

I know you are praying, but mean that prayer with all your heart

The Lord is working inside of you so be still and learn to move forward, through a gradual start.

No place to turn back on, because what’s happened has happened, so you speak to others and share. 

A friend say, words are just words, if they have no foundation to the place they reach

Words through discernment move mountains and can be the root to your hearts desires

Yet the answer is right their in front of them, as wisdom is their source,

Praying has answered your questions, there’s no need to feel remorse.

You speak to God and ask that question “why?”

Then you reflect what he has done, you end up with a pause and then sigh.

You speak to God, where all days should start with a prayer,

You refuse the chaos with the delicate chants you hear

God is your protector, that’s why you have nothing to fear. 

You look at life and go with the flow,

People can antagonise with noise and chaos of their very own,

You either tell them to “be quiet” but when the father is with you the penetration of the vexation shall eventually go.

You ask why is the world chaos

It’s mainly because of us, 

Our overthinking and potential to provoke 

We need to discern first, as we accepted the father already… because we were already broke.

Diabetes…no chaos

Dear lord I know I have this to manage today

You give me the strength to accept and grow, as others chaos needs to go away

 Lord my blood sugars can be high and then consequently low,

Struggling when you feel inebriated and all over the place

The struggles of others chaos, for those who need to debase.

Diabetes is a struggle 

It requires calmness and a balance to pull through,

The condition isn’t your fault, but the attributes you exude shall not be amused.

It has a detrimental effect

A world that needs to be avoided due to its inflicting grain

Lord I know through my prayers for having this condition, you solidify me in order to sustain.

When you start the day, 

do you pray for others with God in mind for the words you’ll say.

Do you look in the good in others?

Do you talk politics and say that word in the end: “sad”,

God is everyone’s cornerstone, and no, I am not at all mad..

I am speaking faith 

I am speaking edification through the light

I know this God’s calling, as fists pulled back is not that type of fight,

It’s a fight of faith,

Praying for others to see the light that shines,

The Heavenly Father is there for you, speak to him… it’s okay.. very much divine.

Give the Father the praise… for others to see the light,

The words said in a prayer can make everything be alright.

It’s always good to ask God questions,

The Father has the answers, as we refuse the devil to cause any taunts.

May God guide you

God is waiting for you

The Father won’t go away,

Blame God all you want; but when all fails it’s the Father that you want to stay.

Pray.. allow someone to do it for you when offered,

God’s love is always there, so why be angry?

Asking God questions is the way to express sanctification through our speech.

Living day to day *diabetes poem

Day to day there’s a struggle

We all face complex conditions 

However, this one is a bit of a muddle. 

No size fits all

That’s for this intense type of life style;

You need to be analytical, strong and have plenty of guile. 

Blood sugars go high and then low 

As the latter can make you lethargic and a wee bit slow.

The art is to try not to analyse this condition which causes mayhem to your body,

You are a strong vessel after all and refute the pendulum of your life to become at all shoddy.

You can live a normal life 

But diligence is key, 

One day the tape of insulin shall be released in our bodies, and for us with Diabetes.. we shall eventually become free.

What would I say to my younger self?

Having ‘that’ chat is never easy at the best of times

So I write this poem to the younger me, at a time I thought I was caged up as I aimed to be free.

I looked to God, but never believed he was there

I seeked for parental guidance, but that slightly waned

And there are the outsiders, who caused more of a verbal stain.

I would have said ‘relax’, cry if you want and try to be kind to you

Go to the gym and focus on a task, 

Or sit down, read a positive book or, learn something to embrace an enhance.

Don’t put your eggs in one basket 

Try to balance the tide you are facing,

And if you fall down, don’t beat yourself up..

There’s enough people giving that task a go

Those people aren’t relevance in your life… so therefore, don’t go fast, nor go slow.

Be at peace with you and God

Your looks shall only last for so long,

You look to the skies for calmness and relaxation

Leave your faith with a higher power, arid any trepidation.

I can’t believe it’s been two years?

Where does the time go?

He’s not here having a moan

I rather hear his east end voice.. tell me off… yes, that kind of groan.

You want them here, but you know God takes them to a place of rest

I know I didn’t want him in anymore pain, the heavens is where his spirit can be at best.

I visited his childhood home alone

A time to talk to Dad, as tears hits the cheek near my eye,

He is laughing at me, saying: “silly sod you don’t need to cry..”

The time will pass and one day our paths shall meet

I know he will be waiting up in the heavens with his cup black coffee with sugars inside…

Yesterday’s childhood dream was the place to visit as I can feel his hug with arms open wide.

For writing a prayer

A prayer is edification

Illuminated and tremendous supplication.

A prayer can be logical and attained

Vulnerability is a light to soften the heart from where we reach

God touches souls and supports us with a preach.

The almighty holds true

The light of the humility we pursue,

Tomorrow there is gain

The day after that we keep on to sustain

We try our best through a humble prayer

God is kind and will often glare;

Glare for our protection and see the day through 

Lord father thank you for the encouragement which we can imbue.

Snakes and ladders

Life is like snakes and ladders 

Throwing a dice to see how it turns out

Either you are elated from an outcome then you reveal a shout.

Do you go through the steps 

Skip, hop and jump

Praying to God ultimately, so you don’t hit a hump.

The roll of the numbers; as you stride and aim to reach the end

Then you hit a path which stops you in your track

Thinking on your feet now, no time now to even slack.

Take your time 

The course of life is full of ups and downs,

The thing you learn the most is to keep your head above water, and avoid to unnecessarily drown.

God has designed you

God has designed you to be wise and strong

But ultimately it’s with him from where you belong.

You learn to pray 

Don’t be embarrassed, it’s okay! 

The light of the world is shining on thee

Stay humble and love and what shall be shall be!

Look towards the love people exude

You pray for kindness, banter, humility and all the things to lift our mood,

God has your wants close to the spirit

It’s down for you to discern, pray and stay within it. 

Be kind to you 

Be loving to one another ,

It’s not about being strong, stern and angered 

It’s about discernment and not becoming hammered.

Today is bright 

Learn to move forward and fight, 

Love with all your heart to see 

Through the spirit…. There’s the day you’ll be set free.

When you stay with God…

When you stay with God you never look back

The future is spiritual 

Through an epiphany and miracle.

The answer was staring right there

You needn’t challenge the outcome, God’s answer is the one to share.

Never look back,

And if you do, fondly reminisce 

The past is behind you, and frankly most of it you can dismiss.

Look to the future

Leave it with God,

When the hope is through a prayer to guide your light

Just remember, the Father has your corner… as well as won the ultimate fight.

Finding the higher power

Looking for a higher power?

It’s already found you

You simply need to pray, and from there, there’s an added pursuit. 

Allow the Father in

It’s the best decision you’ll ever make, 

Your over-thoughts shall be channeled as one

Just like the Father of the King who has already won.

So if you are looking for someone special 

Remember, God has planned this well ahead,

Believe in God first and then you, this question will eventually be put to rest. 

So stop saying:

“I can’t”

“I won’t”

“I don’t believe”

Remember when you pick up a penny then a pound coin is waiting to be received.

Fitting in

Sometimes you feel you don’t fit in

Is that such a bad thing when others judge,

Really they are not the kind of people you should choose to nudge.

You may feel an outsider?

You may feel misunderstood?

It doesn’t matter at the end of the day

You are loved regardless by God, he has the final say.

People won’t understand you

Nor you need to be understood during time of need

God has your best interests at heart, like Othello said: “if you cut, won’t you bleed?”

People can come 

And people can leave, 

Loving people wholeheartedly, through the power of one, won’t you believe!”

I was an absolute fool

I was truly… and literally acting like a tool.

God protected me 

Got in the way,

How? He listened to me as the pain eventually frayed.

Listen to life and God

It’s a tool you can never say no to,

Don’t be blinded by deception, pray and discern before inception.

Be guided by the light

Especially when the rain pours,

It’s the spirit in the sky that has always been yours.

Try to be kind to you

The world has trials awaiting for you to face,

No matter how hard you aim to try, there are always blips which are in place.

Be kind to yourself 

Words often said to someone like you and I,

Try to hold your counsel with a prayer to start the day

If you have done something bad, God shall hope you are able to stay.

The tears will fall down

You’ve shouted at someone through your own emotional pain,

Remember, we are all different and sometimes we aren’t always able to contain.

Love is love 

Hope is in touching distance too, 

Welcome your harmony because God wants you to fight as well as smile

The journey could be short or long… just hold onto your guile.

It’s free 

Always accessible 

Humble and pretty much impregnable.

It’s hopeful 

Insightful

And then again ever so delightful,

It doesn’t argue with you, it’s humble and possesses many clues 

It’s bright despite the rain

It’s not clever, it’s a spiritual piece

I know for certain, God tames the almighty beast.

It’s glorious and very exciting

Look beyond the Chaos

Some need chaos to function

Some need to ‘be still’ to work it through,

God is the one who overcomes, so pray for others as well as you.

Pray for the light to shine

Pray for the hope to remain in your heart,

Pray for others to chill out and leave you be

What is important for you and others to see.

Pray for the nasty to turn a new leaf

Pray for the kind hearted to remain strong in God’s word,

None of what I said is dehumanised or absurd.

Pray for love to shine on the world

Pray for the meal that touches your table when you rest

God humbles your heart, no more or for any less.

Take your time

The heart needs to take a gentle beat, 

Speed is only required in desperate moments of need.

Chaos can make you go and bleed.

Take your time

Think of God first,

The spirit is there to guide

Blessings are the cornerstone to where we need to confide.

Judgement is always there 

People won’t always get you

Nor you should always care.

Remember, take your time 

Discern and pray for peace to enter into your heart,

Gossip is fickle, not a place I rather start.

You are never alone

Big family?

Or a Small family?

I am telling you, you are never alone,

God is there to pick up the pieces so one day you’ll see him on the throne.

Pray to God!

Does that mean you are alone?

How distant are those words, a victim behaviour when you feel you can’t talk to anyone..? do you think all families are interested in your welfare and listen to what you want to air?

God is the ultimate one, and has always been there.

I can’t understand what others say when God is already protecting them on this time on the earth,

We are designed to try, love, hope, encourage and  be kind to others 

And stop feeling we have ‘no one’…. Isn’t that right Christ’s sisters and brothers? 

So stop feeling lonely and pray to a God that loves you more than anything else,

You have breath in your lungs, food to nourish, prayers coming your way… 

so I pray for you see the light wholeheartedly …at the end of the day’.

Been to ‘that place’

Trials hit us all

Praying to God first, and desperate not to fall.

Looking for the light when the drink pours into the mouth;

The light-headedness makes you lose your guile as well as your nouse.

Thinking of cases when we have looked to God

We just want a change from this dire situation that hopes for a prod.

We keep trying, especially when the light hits our eyes

The element of pulling through you don’t think is possible but then you receive a surprise.

Love with hope 

Love with cares to unite as one,

The passage of your future releases the light

The spiritual warfare requires you to fight.
