As I dream

I wake up and I do say a prayer

Even those I don’t want around, in my heart I do truly care.

We need to learn life isn’t fair, it never has been,

So we keep fighting, asking questions to turn a difficult situation right

Sometimes you need to remain still and allow God to fight.

I love to hug

And I do love to care,

Didn’t I mention I like a prayer? Not just for me, but for the ones whose moments that I’ve shared.

Yes, I believe in God, for me that important in my growth

A leap of faith is heightening, not saying I won’t face any other woes?

I pray for your wishes to become true

Look to the light through the darkness you faced,

There is a powerful source out there we should look to embrace.

Hello my birthday boy

Hello fella it’s your time again

1984, 5th October this guy fell from the heavens, 

With lightening humour and flamboyant charm

A kind heart with protection to do no one else any harm. 

Funny and witty 

Simply a joy to be around, 

He is good lad in all

and does his best to prevent anyone else to fall. 

He is called “momma bear” to his friends 

With razor sharp humour to lift others spirit,

There is peace in Anthony, with a laidback way for all he cares within it.

Camp and funny, simply one of a kind

My favourite line from my brother: “You have diabetes  it’s fashionable”…

That may made me calm and chuckle, and taught myself to become adaptable.

How we are remembered

The day shall come when the heavens open and we shall finally be at peace,

Looking to the angels and skies and going to a new home,

Prayers are wonderful and shall never leave you alone. 

My time is to be God and people who are no longer here,

But it’s always God’s timing when I am suppose to leave, that belief I need to endear. 

I pray each day

For friend and even those I do no like,

The angst won’t help you, as the devil can get on their bike. 

Be at peace with all people

We are all work in progress at the end of the day, 

My peace is to stay with God, and when he speaks to me I know I shall need to stay.

Yiayia and ol’ man

I recall the times my Dad spoke about my Nan

Stories he said, when he took her out for a shandy and he’ll have a pint, 

During the beautiful times of the East End height.

He is now with her, probably having a black coffee (three sugars) and she will have a cup of tea,

I can see their faces now, which brings solace inside of me.

I see them smiling, laughing and chatting away

Just happy memories, which in my heart shall remain.

I love them as I feel them right ‘here’

Praying to God for peace as I have nothing else to fear.

The kindness they showed and wanting to give

Despite this treacherous world we live today, 

Their spirit inside us provides me hope to the day I’ll see them where we shall chat and be okay.

Praying to stay strong

We have all been there

A place you feel you cannot leave,

Or perhaps there’s no way out?

Pray to the almighty who is always about.

Go pass the tears 

No shame to show that weakness,

Release is what’s needed

Breaking to restore us often leads us into becoming interseded.

Love and pray

Your tools to get out of any mess,

And confess with your heart to the Father you shan’t treat you any less.

There is a time to heal

And that is now, 

Don’t overthink

Don’t lose hope

Read the book of ‘Job’ he too was hanging from a rope.

That music in your ear

So you recall that piece music in your ear?

‘The eye of the tiger’ the piece that refused you to fear.

You in face a battle 

And it possesses musical release,

You go on the rowing machine and tame your inner beast.

You are stronger than you give yourself credit

You so have the strength and prayer to keep going on,

Trust me I have been there, through that mist of a place that I don’t belong.

The theme of superman 

That is my kind of uplifting sound,

I just want to get better, through these unprecedented challenges that have surround.

Healthy individuality

We are all so different when it comes to our health

I have diabetes, type 1, which produces no insulin,

I learn from my condition for a moment of transitioning.

I fight hypos every day

People who say ‘they can’t cope’, leave me alone,

You can’t do anything apart from saying your mere perspective, so please allow me to groan.

The condition calms me, but don’t let me waiver 

I am crying for sugar in abundance, trust me that’s not my entire saviour.

I learn to keep calm and try let erratic people dangle 

They couldn’t live with my type 1 diabetes condition, as health you don’t take slightly when you try to take a handle. 

Health is the most importantly thing

Especially when mental health challenges the soul,

It’s not about spirit, it’s about how you flow.

Benefit of hindsight

We cannot live in hindsight

Others may remind us of ‘that fall’,

Yet still, through prayer there is a chance to receive that call.

Don’t beat yourself up

Others are in a queue to do that on your behalf,

This is your life we are talking about, and that isn’t a joke or a laugh.

Let the gossipers gossip

That know nothing but the lack of depth through that voice,

They need prayer and forgiveness too,

There are chances they should receive a clue.

Go and get ‘em

Don’t let the wise to be your fool,

The humbleness of that dark place, is to reflect, remain calm… yes… play it cool.
