And never able to pause a computer game,
We exercised and thought on our feet
Now we have tablets and phones
I prefer pen, paper, put a stamp on and send
Those were the days gadgets were less
And we took our time when taking a test.
We applied the green cross road when crossing the road
People now risk there health because they are inpatient and quick,
I rather focus on taking my time instead of becoming a little too slick.
Space invaders, Charlie Angels and there was Tiswas which was our Saturday treat,
Magpie, heartbeat and “give us a clue” were the games we enjoyed
There was also blockbuster when two faced one,
A game of intelligence and wit
As well as krypton factor which needed you to be fit.
Buck Rogers, six million dollar man and Mork and Mindy
Those were the days when fun was explored without a device
Yes... I have posted this poem on a phone
Yet those were the times we were more interactive
Just Like a stepping stone.,
