A day in a life of a T1D (type 1 diabetes)

The day I received this condition
I never thought hypos were going to be a rendition;
Over injecting and people saying it’s easy
And they you don’t live with you’ve got
And others treating your hypos as a knot.

I live my best life with diabetes by praying and holding what I see as true,
It’s difficult to manage the effects which suddenly arrive
And then there’s this balance in order for you to survive.

The pace of the world has its challenges for someone who lives with this day to day,
You prefer people to be support; then if not? They can go away.

Praying the hypos no longer take place
Perspective and learning to deal with a condition that constantly reminds,
And when others give you a hard time for your day is about the start;
Remaining humble through the diabetes you feel inside
And embracing a difficult condition which at times is hard to abide.
